Owner and Principal Heather Browne has over 20 years of extensive media and public relations, crisis communications and corporate communications experience. Heather began her career as a television news producer and radio reporter and anchor. Her journalism work garnered her awards from the Texas Associated Press. Following her journalism career, Heather entered the field of media relations and communications. She has held senior level communications and media relations roles in politics, state government, education and the corporate sector. Heather’s corporate experience includes senior level communications and media relations roles held at Cheniere Energy, Air Liquide, KBR, El Paso Energy (now Kinder Morgan) and Waste Management. She has also served as a communications consultant for the Greater Houston Partnership and the Houston Airport System.

Prior to her corporate career, Heather served in senior communicator roles for then Governor George W. Bush’s 1998 gubernatorial re-election campaign and his Exploratory Committee for President. She also served as Deputy Press Secretary for former Texas Attorney General John Cornyn and Press Secretary for the Houston Independent School District.

When media, reputation management and communications challenges arise, having experienced counsel and trusted advice, matters.

Heather has managed complex communications and reputation management issues that include media and public response to high profile litigation, congressional and senate hearings, school bond elections, high profile executions, employee fatalities and safety incidents. She has also advised CEO’s, executive teams, and elected officials on addressing such issues with employees, customers, constituents and other key stakeholders. In her roles as a senior communications officer, she has served as a corporate, political and school district media spokesperson as well.

In addition to her strategic communications experience, Heather has also managed large scale events that include employee town hall meetings, executive leadership team meetings, employee volunteer events, and media credentialing and attendance at political campaign events.

Originally from Austin, Texas, Heather made Houston her home in 2001. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism.  An active community and civic leader, Heather is a Sustaining member of the Junior League of Houston, where she served for two years as the Chair of the Junior League’s Pawsitive Pals community placement. She has also served on several non-profit boards including Leadership Houston, Crimestoppers of Houston, The Center, and HeartGift Houston. Heather has also served as a community volunteer on the Crisis Hotline at the Houston Area Women’s Center.
